Program Manager

Every Voice Choirs (EVC) helps young people discover their voices and share them with pride. We are committed to empowering all children by teaching them to share their voices confidently through their singing and throughout their lives. Singers work together to create powerful concerts on themes of social & environmental justice.

EVC seeks a Program Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Artistic/Executive Director and the Director of Administration, the Program Manager will be responsible for creating and communicating procedures and logistics for all aspects of EVC programs and events. The Program Manager serves as liaison between EVC leadership, program faculty, and program participants’ families to ensure clear communication and effective functioning so that all choir participants have positive, enriching experiences and events with complex logistics go smoothly and successfully.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and share schedules and calendars for all programs and events.
  • Develop logistics for all EVC rehearsals and performances/special events.
  • Communicate clearly with program participants and with EVC faculty/staff about program and event logistics through multiple communication channels.
  • Serve as production manager at performances and other events.
  • Coordinate staff and volunteers to provide all needed support for programs and events.
  • Act as point of contact for program and performance (gig) inquiries.
  • Use project management tools to effectively support collaborative planning and ensure successful, timely implementation of plans.
  • Manage and mentor program coordinators / asst. production personnel.
  • Be a strategic thought partner to the ED regarding EVC programming and achieving program and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate on marketing, communications, outreach, and fundraising.
Required Qualifications
  • Passion for community-based arts education and for serving families with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Professional experience planning and managing events.
  • Exceptional skills in organization and time management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Facility with tech, including use of Microsoft Office software, document management systems, project management software, and database use.
  • Dedication to working on a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit community service organizations.
  • Experience in program leadership and facilitation.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
Schedule and Location
  • 10 hours per week, spread out over all 5 weekdays.
  • Work as needed on evenings and weekends for scheduled program events.
  • This is a hybrid position. Some in-person interfacing with families and staff is necessary, including on the first days of class, at performances, and at other events. Administrative work and most planning meetings can be done remotely.
Compensation

$25-30/hour, based on level of professional experience with outreach work in community/education nonprofit organizations.

Hiring Schedule
